The risk of combining two totally different textures in one look is always there. Sometimes you put them together and think, what was I even doing? And sometimes it turns out so unexpectedly good that you start wondering why you never tried it before. Fashion is funny like that. It really has no strict rules, and the more I experiment, the more I realize how much freedom there is in simply trusting your eye and your mood in the moment. I don’t know why, but whenever I’m in New York, my style becomes even more effortless than usual. It feels like this city encourages you to stop overthinking everything — especially your outfits. You just open your closet, grab the first things you see, even if they belong to totally different worlds, put them on and suddenly it all works together. I love that feeling. It gives so much lightness and a little bit of chaos, but in the best, most inspiring way. New York has this energy where everyone looks so different but somehow it all blends perfectly into the rhythm of the city. No one tries to fit into one style. No one is scared to look “too simple” or “too much.” You see people wearing the craziest combinations, and they look so confident that you catch yourself thinking, maybe that’s the whole point — wearing what makes you feel like yourself right now. I genuinely enjoy experimenting with outfits here. Sometimes it’s a mix of textures that normally shouldn’t go together — like heavy knit with something silky and light, or leather with something super soft and romantic. Sometimes it’s mixing sporty pieces with something absolutely feminine. And the funny thing is, the less I think about it, the better it usually turns out. New York teaches you not to care too much about what others might think. Maybe someone will judge your look for a second, but the truth is that everyone is so busy with their own life, their own morning coffee, their own thoughts, that your outfit becomes just another tiny part of the big city mosaic. And even if someone does judge you a little bit, the beauty is that you honestly don’t care. This city gives you that kind of confidence — the confidence to be playful, spontaneous, imperfect and bold with your style choices. So yes, mixing totally different textures can be a risk. But it can also be the start of your favorite look. And if New York taught me anything, it’s that the best outfits often come from the moments when you don’t try too hard. You just let yourself have fun with fashion — and somehow it always works out.

Why i wear short skirts

Recently I received a comment on my reel asking why I mostly wear super short skirts and shorts. My first instinctive thought was, “Because I can,” although of course I didn’t reply that way. Still, this reaction made me think about how often women are questioned about their clothing choices, as if we owe someone an explanation. The truth is very simple: I live most of the year in summer weather, and I genuinely like showing my legs. It feels natural and comfortable for me. Warm temperatures make lightweight clothing the most logical option, and I choose pieces that I enjoy, that flatter my body, and that make me feel confident. For me, short skirts and shorts are exactly that. But what interests me most is why such a question even appears. Clothes should be an expression of personal taste and lifestyle, not a subject for debate. If someone prefers long dresses, that is their right. If another woman feels her best in wide trousers, that is perfect too. Style is deeply personal, and we all have different ways of expressing ourselves. I believe that confidence starts with feeling comfortable in your own skin. When I wear something short, it is not about seeking attention or making a statement. It is simply about choosing what feels good on my body. I work hard to stay active and take care of myself, so appreciating the results by dressing the way I like feels natural and honest. There is also something liberating in allowing yourself to wear what you truly want, without trying to meet anyone else’s expectations. I used to overthink people’s opinions, but with time I realized how much unnecessary pressure it creates. Now I choose what makes me feel aligned with myself, whether it is a short skirt, a long dress, or something in between. At the end of the day, clothing is just clothing. What matters is how you feel in it. If something gives you confidence, comfort, and a sense of freedom, then it is the right choice for you. And I will always encourage women to dress not for approval, but for themselves. So why do I wear short skirts and shorts? The answer is still the same: because I want to, because I feel good in them, and because I enjoy living in a body and a climate that allow me to do so.

Today is Earth Day, and instead of simply celebrating it with a cheerful message, I want to bring your attention to the challenges our planet is facing right now. It’s easy to say “Happy Earth Day,” but it’s much harder to acknowledge how deeply our daily choices — including the clothes we buy — affect the world we live in. That’s why I want to share the manifesto written by @janessaleone, which perfectly expresses how the fashion industry must evolve if we want real change. The manifesto begins with a powerful idea: there is nothing left to sustain. Our planet is no longer in a state where “sustainability” is enough. We have already gone far beyond the point where maintaining the current situation is a solution. Instead, we must regenerate. We must repair what has been damaged, restore what has been neglected, and allow natural systems to return to the balance they once had. The message is clear — we cannot keep interrupting the ecosystems that give us life. Another important point is the disconnect between brands, people, and the land that produces the fibers we use. The manifesto calls for the end of that disconnect. Fashion cannot continue to exist as if it has no responsibility to the planet and communities involved in the creation of its products. Transparency, accountability, and synergy are the only way forward. If we want a better future, brands need to clean up their act and stop pretending that a “sustainable” label is enough. This is a reminder that fashion holds tremendous power. It influences culture, trends, and even the way we see ourselves. But it also shapes the world we leave behind. We cannot keep valuing aesthetics without valuing the environment that makes them possible. The vision we should strive for is a future where fashion becomes a force for good — where beautiful, timeless pieces are created with intention, care, and respect for the planet. On this Earth Day, let’s think beyond “sustainability.” Let’s think about regeneration, responsibility, and the role we all play. Our choices matter more than we often realize.

Being by the ocean always puts me into a very specific state of mind. It slows everything down, shifts my focus to the present moment, and reminds me how important it is to surround myself with things that feel intentional. That includes the pieces I choose to bring with me, especially the ones that travel through seasons and destinations, becoming part of my routine no matter where I go. A hat is always at the top of that list. Whenever I pack for a beach trip, it is the first item I set aside. Not because it looks good in photos, but because it actually changes the way I experience the day. A well-made hat protects, elevates, and gives a sense of quiet confidence. Over the years I have learned that quality matters more than trends, and that certain pieces simply become part of your life. My hats from Janessa Leone are exactly that. They have been in my wardrobe for more than five years, and during that time they have traveled with me across countries, climates, and countless beaches. They have survived being packed tightly into suitcases, tossed into beach bags, exposed to salt water, wind, and long hours under the sun. And somehow, despite all of that, they still look almost new. There is something special about pieces that hold their shape and character even after years of wear. It makes you appreciate craftsmanship on a deeper level, because you feel it rather than just see it. I have recently added a new hat to my collection, and it instantly became a favorite. The color is understated but striking, simple yet memorable. It complements everything, from swimwear to linen dresses, and somehow it always completes the mood of the day. If you are curious about the exact style, I left a link in my stories. For me, a beach day is not just about the sun and the ocean. It’s about creating a feeling of ease and beauty, choosing pieces that elevate the moment instead of distracting from it. A good hat does exactly that. It stays with you, protects you, and becomes part of the memories you take home.

I am genuinely happy to see how many organizations are shifting their attention toward sustainable fashion. More brands are becoming conscious of their impact and choosing to step away from the fast-fashion model that has dominated the industry for so long. They invest more effort into designing, manufacturing, and distributing clothing in ways that respect both the environment and the communities involved in production. This change is not just about trends; it is about responsibility and the desire to rethink how fashion can exist without placing such a heavy burden on the planet. But the transition to sustainability cannot rely solely on companies. Consumers play an equally important role. Each of us has the power to influence demand, and with that power comes responsibility. A greener wardrobe does not require a complete lifestyle overhaul. It starts with small, thoughtful steps that gradually become habits. One of the simplest ways to support sustainability is to pay attention to where and how clothes are made. Choosing pieces produced locally or garments created from natural and organic materials already makes a significant difference. Fabrics dyed with eco-friendly pigments, items designed with zero-waste principles, or clothing made from recycled and up-cycled materials are all meaningful alternatives. Another essential part of sustainable fashion is learning to care for the clothes we already own. Proper maintenance is often overlooked, yet it can extend the life of a garment far beyond what most people expect. Mending small tears, tailoring pieces to fit better, or refreshing items instead of immediately replacing them is a quiet but powerful contribution to reducing waste. A well-maintained wardrobe is not only more sustainable but also more personal and expressive. Many people ask if it truly matters whether they buy eco-friendly clothes. My answer is always yes. Every responsible purchase supports companies that are trying to change the industry. Every mindful choice reduces waste, lowers environmental pressure, and encourages better standards. Ultimately, it is not just brands that shape the world of fashion; it is us. Our daily decisions influence what becomes mainstream and what values dominate the market. So I want to ask you: do you buy eco-friendly clothing or pay attention to how your garments are made? These small choices build a larger movement. Together, we can reshape fashion into something more ethical, thoughtful, and respectful of the planet. And thank you again for this beautiful present and for contributing, even in small ways, to making our world a better place.

Oversized bags came into trend at the perfect moment for me, and I welcomed this shift with genuine relief. This style is not only fashionable but also incredibly practical, especially when your daily life requires you to carry more than just the basics. With a baby, you quickly realize that leaving home lightly is no longer an option. You never know what the day may bring, so the idea of a bag that can hold half of your life suddenly feels not only appealing, but essential. For me, an oversized bag represents a sense of calm and preparedness. It gives me the freedom to move through the day knowing I have everything I might need. And when your lifestyle becomes more dynamic and less predictable, this feeling becomes priceless. I no longer treat my bag as an accessory; it has turned into a reliable companion that supports me in the most ordinary and the most unexpected moments. What do I keep inside? The list is long, but every item has its purpose. There are two wallets — mine and my husband’s — because somehow his always ends up in my bag. A few beauty essentials also travel with me: a color stick, a hand cream and a mini perfume from Byredo that add a small moment of comfort throughout the day. I keep a scrunchie in case I need to quickly tie my hair. A separate section always holds my SPF for the face because sun protection has become a non-negotiable part of my routine. Practicality also plays a huge role. Anti-bacterial wipes, a face mask and hand sanitizer help me stay prepared for crowded spaces or unexpected situations. Sunglasses are always there too, because I never know when I may need them, and I prefer not to depend on the weather forecast. One of the most important parts of my bag these days is my breast pumps by Elvie, which make my on-the-go routine more manageable. I also carry a power bank to keep my devices charged and a bottle of water to stay hydrated throughout the day. This may sound like a lot, but every item has its role in making my day a little smoother. An oversized bag simply allows me to carry my life comfortably and without stress. And honestly, this trend feels like it was created exactly for women who balance multiple roles and responsibilities. What about you? Which items are always with you, no matter where you go?

Recently I came across a few direct messages that honestly made me feel a little sad. Some of them suggested that I focus too much on my body and the way it looks, as if this attention comes from a place of pressure or self-obsession. But the truth is much simpler. Part of my online space naturally revolves around wellness, workouts, recovery, and confidence, because these are the topics you ask me about the most. I share my routine, my progress, and my thoughts not to create an illusion of perfection, but to show that caring for your body can be a healthy and fulfilling part of life. For me, loving your body means appreciating it in all its forms, including its changes, imperfections, and phases. It means building a relationship with yourself where you can grow, adjust, and improve without judgment. My message has never been “look at my perfect body.” It has always been about accepting yourself fully and celebrating even the smallest steps you take toward self-respect and self-love. Many of the flaws we see are only visible to us because we overthink them. I want you to feel confident in your own skin and proud of the efforts you make, no matter how small they may seem. When it comes to content, I genuinely want this space to feel meaningful and relevant to you. That is why I believe the most honest approach is simply to ask what you truly want to see here. Maybe you prefer content related to workouts, nutrition, and body awareness. Maybe you are more interested in motherhood, postpartum experiences, and daily life with a baby. Perhaps fashion, beauty, routines, or even lighthearted videos bring you the most joy. I want to understand what inspires you and what supports you in your own journey. Ladies, tell me what you are most curious about and what topics you want me to focus on. This space has always been shaped by your interest, and I want to keep it that way.

Do you have basic items in your wardrobe? I think it’s essential to have them because they can really save your time or provide a nice foundation for your look. These are my essentials I can’t live without: ⠀ Blazer – not a single modern fashionista can imagine her wardrobe without it. A blazer is really really popular nowadays. Now it represents much more than just a business style. I’d recommend choosing oversized blazers in neutral colors for a basic wardrobe. ⠀ Jeans – Nothing to wear again? Wear jeans! They match perfectly with a white t-shirt or a shirt. As for me, I choose mom jeans. ⠀ Jewelry – the simplest way to complete your look and give it a special vibe. Even if your outfit is pretty standard, the jewelry will make it so much better and brighter. I think it’s perfect to have both gold and silver jewelry to easily match it with your look or even mix them together. Knitwear – it’s nice to put them over your shoulders, even if it’s summer, and wear it in case you feel cold. Choose basic colors (black, white, grey, neutral, dark blue) as you’ll have to match it with your main outfit. ⠀ Silk dress – What can be more basic than a silk sleep dress? You can wear it with sneakers or high heels, which make it versatile. Black or, conversely, light warm colors are the most successful ones for me. ⠀ Basic t-shirt and shirt – the most simple pieces that go with any kind of look. Nice to choose a bit oversized ones. ⠀ And what are your basic items in your wardrobe?

The true essence of elegance

Many people reduce elegance to clothing, grooming or the overall visual impression a person creates. But true elegance begins far beyond what we see at first glance. It grows from a person’s inner state, from how they interact with the world, from the values they choose to live by. The quote often attributed to Carolina Herrera — that elegance is defined not only by what you wear, but by how you carry yourself, how you speak and what you read — captures this deeper dimension. Clothes can complement elegance, but they cannot replace it. Elegance is, first of all, a relationship with yourself. It is reflected in the way you choose your words, how you respond in challenging moments, how you hold your boundaries while staying calm and respectful. There is an inner steadiness in truly elegant people. They do not rush to prove anything to others, do not rely on loudness or dramatics, and do not seek approval from every corner. Their presence already speaks for them. This type of elegance is quiet, but powerful. It shows in posture, tone, decisions and even in silence. Another layer of elegance is how you treat people around you. It lies in the ability to listen, to understand, to show tact, even when the situation is far from simple. It is seen in the refusal to judge others superficially, in the willingness to give space, in the capacity to empathize. Such elegance has nothing to do with perfection; it is about awareness and emotional maturity. You may wear a simple outfit, but if your behavior is graceful, people feel it instantly. Your worldview also plays a defining role. What you read, what you nurture in your mind, the ideas you let shape you — all of these either refine or dull your internal culture. Constant curiosity, the desire to grow, the ability to think critically and independently — this is what forms a person whose elegance comes from depth, not from imitation. It is impossible to fake this kind of refinement; it reflects years of inner work. In modern life, where trends change every minute and appearance often becomes a priority, returning to the essence of elegance feels important. Clothing and style are wonderful tools of self-expression, but they are only one part of a much bigger picture. True elegance is what stays when trends fade, what remains noticeable even in the simplest look, and what never loses relevance. Do you agree that elegance is rooted much deeper than appearance? How do you personally define it?

Straight-leg essentials

Straight-leg jeans have become a true foundation of a modern wardrobe, and their popularity is not accidental. They are one of those rare pieces that effortlessly balance comfort, elegance, and versatility. No matter how trends come and go, this silhouette always finds its way back to the spotlight because it works with virtually everything. Straight-leg denim doesn’t demand a specific style or body type; instead, it adapts, softens the look, elongates the silhouette, and gives any outfit a clean, structured finish. What makes them so essential is the simplicity of their shape. They slightly skim the leg without clinging or overwhelming the figure, which allows you to pair them with almost any top, texture, or shoe. One day you can combine them with a classic white shirt and loafers for a refined, everyday look; the next day, they can be worn with an oversized sweater and sneakers for a more relaxed aesthetic. And when you want to elevate your outfit, a structured blazer and pumps will turn the same jeans into a polished and modern ensemble. This ability to shift moods so easily is exactly what makes straight-leg denim timeless. However, the key to achieving this effortless effect lies in finding a fit that truly works for you. My main advice is to focus on how the jeans sit around the butt and thighs. A close, flattering fit in these areas ensures that the straight cut flows naturally down the leg, creating that neat, elongated line. When the upper part sits well, the whole silhouette becomes more balanced and refined. The wrong fit, on the other hand, can distort proportions and make even the best denim look ordinary. As the influence of 90s fashion continues to shape modern style, straight-leg jeans have only grown in relevance. If you like experimenting with lengths, you have the freedom to choose between ankle-grazing cuts that show off your shoes or full-length options that create a more dramatic, flowing look. Both versions can be equally stylish, so it often comes down to what feels right for your wardrobe and daily lifestyle. Straight-leg jeans are more than just another trend. They are a reliable, versatile piece that brings balance and understated confidence to your look. When you find your perfect pair, it becomes a silent cornerstone of your style — the item you reach for when you want to look put-together without trying too hard.
