Women’s true power
Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about women’s power and what this concept actually means in real life. A small piece of graffiti caught my attention and made me return to this question once again. At first, I smiled, because it reminded me of one of those simple truths we repeat jokingly: women can speak so much through their eyes alone, and no man can compete with that subtle expression. But behind this light thought, there is something much deeper. Women’s power is never one-dimensional, and it never looks the same for every woman.
The more I observe women around me, and the more I reflect on my own experiences, the more I understand how multifaceted this power really is. It shifts, grows, and transforms depending on the chapter of life we are living. When I became a mother, something opened in me that I had never felt so strongly before. It was unconditional love, the kind that anchors you, softens you, and strengthens you all at once. It is a feeling that cannot be described with simple words, yet it defines everything from how you wake up in the morning to how you see yourself as a woman.
What I know now is that every woman carries several different powers at the same time. We are expected to be wise partners, patient mothers, capable homemakers, passionate lovers, emotional supporters, intuitive decision-makers, home doctors, nutrition advisers, and so much more. It’s almost astonishing how many roles women hold, often without even realizing that each of these roles demands strength and emotional resilience.
But even with all these expectations placed on us, the truth is simple: you don’t need to embody all of these roles to be powerful. You don’t need to check every box or fit into anyone’s definition of what a woman “should” be. Your power is not measured by the number of tasks you can handle or by how perfectly you perform them. It’s measured by your authenticity, your choices, and your ability to stay true to yourself even when the world insists on telling you who you must become.
Every woman deserves the freedom to choose her own superpower. Maybe today it’s sensitivity. Maybe tomorrow it’s ambition, or creativity, or patience, or strength. And maybe your power right now is simply allowing yourself to be human. Whatever it is, embrace it fully. The only requirement is that it feels true to you.
