High-protein foods you should know
Lately I’ve been paying much more attention to how I nourish my body, and especially to the role of protein in my daily routine. You often ask me whether I take additional protein supplements, and the answer is still the same — no. I prefer getting everything my body needs from real food. There is something very grounding in this approach: you feel more connected to what you eat, you understand the ingredients, the textures, and the way your body reacts to them. And when you learn to choose high-quality products, your body responds instantly — with energy, strength, and an overall feeling of balance.
Protein is essential for so many processes in our body — building muscles, stabilizing blood sugar, supporting hormones and even cognitive function — but it doesn’t mean you have to rely on powders. You can get everything with simple, accessible foods. Eggs are one of my favorites: they are incredibly nutritious, and you can cook them in so many ways that they never become boring. Chicken fillet is another classic source that fits perfectly into a healthy lifestyle, especially if you prefer lighter meals.
I love adding tuna when I want something quick and uncomplicated — it’s practically pure protein. Lean beef is a great choice too, especially if you’re active and need something more filling. And for dairy lovers, cottage cheese, mozzarella, parmesan or cheddar can be wonderful additions to your plate. They nourish you while making you feel satisfied instead of restricted.
And of course, lentils and other legumes are perfect for those who prefer plant-based meals. They’re easy to prepare, rich in minerals and vitamins, and incredibly comforting in warm dishes.
The more you learn about nutrition, the easier it becomes to build your meals intuitively — without stress, strict rules or counting every calorie. Just choose foods that support you, give you strength and make you feel good. This is a much healthier and more sustainable relationship with food, and it truly changes the way you treat your own body.
