Caring for your body and mind
Hi, Girls!
I love discussing with you some important topics. To be a fitness/healthy lifestyle influencer is always a big responsibility. I know I have a lot of teenage girls among my followers and I always try to help them with their questions and to make sure they choose the right path to follow in their relationships with food and sport.
I remember when I was a teenager how hard it was to stay away from negative criticism, bullies and desire to look like someone else. Some of these thoughts can create such problems like eating disorders – mental disorders marked by an obsession with food or body weight. They can affect anyone but they are most prevalent among young women.
Those behaviors can be very harmful to health and in some cases, can be fatal.
Eating disorder is a mental illness, that can be caused by different factors: genetically, culturally, dieting at a young age, mental health problems.
The first step to the treatment can start only after the person is admitting the problem. It’s a long hard way that requires a lot of psychological work with professionals. And the recovery is possible only after realizing how to listen to your body, how to love, take care of yourself and accept yourself in the way you are. Don’t compare yourself to the others.
That’s why it’s so important to NEVER comment about someone’s body or food choices because you never know what kind of situation this person is going through. Be kind and supportive, it’s always paying back. Something that looks so easy for us can be very hard for this person.
Bullies are people with very poor intellectual and spiritual condition, criticism is their way to feel better about their own unsuccessful life.
So take care of yourself: the body and the mind have to work teamwise
